EXPERIENCE BECOMES KNOW-HOW

Satisfied with the results achieved during the competitions as testing ground, we now devote ourselves to an intensive research on application of the PDP SYSTEM in the leisure boating. While a few diehard offshore lovers, owners of the “fabulous UFO” as they say, continue to participate in races and to obtain good results even with boats born for leisure, the feedback coming from the competitions has now been assimilated and therefore applied to the design of new boats for different purposes. We would recall for instance the Taxi boat for Venice, where the PDP SYSTEM allows to increase the limit of critical speed in the displacing stage and the reduction of the waves, granting better performance. The power must obviously be carefully chosen and installed in order to preserve the environment from pollution and noise, adopting peculiar measures and technical facilities. We develop innovative instruments like self-stabilizing flaps, EPT (Extended Planing Transom), flap trim gauges and other devices enriching the new projects. Among them we find a luxury version of the taxi, with more exclusive features and designed for the UAE , also as tender for megayachts; a fast 45’ DayCruiser for Venezuela; an astonishingly versatile outboard boat for a shipyard in Mallorca; a racing boat, class “production” for the US market; a cabin cruiser featuring spaces and comfort of a much longer yacht, as reported by the official magazine of ASPRONADI (Association of Pleasure Navigation Designers), of which Riccardo Mambretti has been a member for many years.
